"This is the first review for a hostel i have written - i was so impressed with this hostel that i had to write about it! we have stayed at approximately 100 hostels and this one really raised the bar for us - it was easily the best. i have stayed in countless hotels that were worse than this, paying much more! the hostel is incredibly clean and homely, with excellent facilities throughout. we should warn, however, that this is perhaps described as a guesthouse than a hostel. there are no dorms, just doubles, triples and quadruples. as such, this is probably better suited to the out of university crowd. Having said that, we had an excellent time, getting along well with all the other inhabitants in a good social atmosphere. oh, and having no keys is actually really handy for those nights when you are out on a bender!"

"I normally ignore writing reviews due to absolute laziness but i felt obliged to write this one for a number of reasons. First of all i'd like to thank the owner's of 7x24 Hostel, Aggi and her husband, for their generous hospitality and williness to do everything in their power to make my stay in Budapest as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. When i arrived to 7x24 Hostel I was travelling on my own and the only person staying in the hostel that night. In an extremely genourous act, i was invited to the owner's apartment to drink some local beer and Hungarian wine, a bottle of which was given to me as a goodwill gesture. They also pointed me in the right direction on where was good to eat, drink and visit in the city. The location of the Hostel is excellant, adjacent to Deak Ter where all the subway line's meet making it a perfect base for exploring Budapest. There's also all the facilities a cash strapped traveller needs in the immediate area - a supermarket a few doors down, a 24 hour shop across the street for essential late night beer purchases and, a short stroll up Kiraly Utca, trendy restaurants, pubs and shops. The hostel was very clean and full of character. Free internet, hot water, excellent kitchen facilites and keypad access make this place hassle free, efficient and secure. The owner's make a big effort to provide something a little different than the average run-of-the-mill hostel. They told me their intention is to make this place the number 1 hostel in Budapest. I've no doubt it will be. I'll definitely stay here again and i'll be bringing other people will me."

"Couldn't have wanted anything more from a budget hostel. It was really clean, secure and the staff were very helpful. The location was excellent as well, just down the road from loads of bars, restaurants and a short tram ride away from the old town. We'll definately go back."
